The Oakbank Racing Club is close to securing Melbourne Cup darling Michelle Payne as the face of its renowned Easter jumps racing carnival.

Club chairman John Glatz on Sunday confirmed he had been in regular contact with Payne in recent weeks and soon hoped to finalise details of her proposed visit to the famed Adelaide Hills circuit.
